RANGER HOLE
An overnight hike to Ranger Hole along the Dukabush River in the Olympic Mountains. Early 1970's. We backpacked in an old canvas umbrella tent complete with internal poles. There was a thaw overnight with rain and the tent weighed so much it bent the aluminum frame of my backpack on the way out. Miserable night. Even with brandy.
